Project overview.
An education institute needed to modernize its network environment through the installation, testing, and configuration of Aruba switches and access points. Although the project was originally proposed in 2020, hardware lead times delayed implementation until 2023. PM2 NET delivered field services and advanced engineering support to install equipment, organize racks, complete cabling and stacking, configure hardware, test performance, document final deliverables, and provide knowledge transfer. The result was a more reliable, secure, and optimized network infrastructure that improved wireless services for staff, students, and visitors.
Client Background
The client is an education institute committed to providing strong academic programs, comprehensive student support services, and a positive learning environment for its community. The district emphasizes collaboration among educators, families, and the broader community, with a focus on open communication, shared decision-making, and student success.
As technology became increasingly central to learning, operations, and communication, the institute needed a modernized network foundation capable of supporting secure connectivity across its facilities.

(02)
Challenge.
The project was initially proposed in 2020, but implementation was postponed because of extended hardware lead times. In 2023, the arrival of the required hardware allowed the project to resume.
Because the initiative was tied to E-Rate requirements, cost-effectiveness was a major priority. PM2 NET and project stakeholders needed to carefully evaluate and manage the solution to remain within budget while still meeting performance, reliability, and pricing objectives.
During execution, the project also encountered communication challenges between field technicians and advanced services engineers. These challenges became more significant when simultaneous installation work and real-time troubleshooting were required. Without strong coordination, field execution and remote engineering support could have become inefficient or delayed.
(03)
Result.
PM2 NET was tasked with installing, testing, and configuring Aruba switches and access points. The work included rack organization, cable management, switch stacking, hardware integration, network configuration, testing, documentation, and post-deployment support.
To address the project’s coordination challenges, PM2 NET adopted a proactive communication model. Field service engineers, advanced services engineers, site operators, and client stakeholders collaborated closely throughout the project. Regular meetings and updates helped streamline communication, clarify priorities, and resolve installation issues quickly.
PM2 NET’s field service engineers delivered on-site installation services, including cabling, equipment placement, rack organization, and hardware setup. Their work helped create a clean, maintainable physical infrastructure to support long-term network reliability.
At the same time, PM2 NET’s advanced services engineers provided remote technical support and configuration expertise. They maintained direct communication with the client, coordinated meetings, addressed concerns, and assisted with real-time troubleshooting as installation progressed.
After deployment, PM2 NET provided comprehensive post-deployment services. This included troubleshooting support, detailed documentation of final deliverables, and knowledge transfer to help the client’s internal team manage and maintain the upgraded network environment.
The Result
PM2 NET successfully delivered a reliable and optimized network infrastructure built around Aruba switching and wireless technology. The upgraded architecture improved wireless services for students, staff, and visitors while strengthening the institution’s overall network capabilities.
The project also improved security, communication, and operational efficiency through updated network architecture and properly integrated hardware. By combining field services with advanced engineering support, PM2 NET helped the client overcome hardware delays, E-Rate cost considerations, and communication challenges during execution.
The client received a cost-effective, industry-aligned solution supported by thorough testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer. Staff expressed strong satisfaction with the final results, and the institution gained a more capable network foundation for modern education needs.
Key Outcomes
Installed, tested, and configured Aruba switches and access points
Organized racks, cabling, switch stacking, and hardware integration
Improved wireless connectivity for students, staff, and visitors
Delivered a cost-effective E-Rate-aligned network upgrade
Provided post-deployment troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge transfer
