Project overview.
A premium performance apparel brand needed consistent network infrastructure across multiple retail store locations with unique layouts, active construction conditions, and tight installation timelines. PM2 NET provided senior technical oversight, coordinated local field resources, installed wireless access points, completed cabling and IDF build-outs, and integrated key store systems including POS, sound, cameras, and network equipment. The project helped the client open and operate store locations with reliable connectivity, cleaner infrastructure, and better support readiness.
The client is a prominent premium performance apparel company inspired by the active Coastal California lifestyle. The brand blends fitness, surf, sport, and art across its retail experience and product identity. As the company expanded its store footprint, each location required dependable technology infrastructure to support customer experience, point-of-sale operations, wireless access, audio systems, cameras, and daily retail operations.

Challenge.
The client needed network infrastructure deployed across multiple store locations, each with different building layouts and construction conditions. Unique structural designs created challenges around equipment placement, cable routing, IDF build-outs, and coordination with other trades on site.
Equipment delivery also required careful planning across multiple locations. The team needed to ensure that network hardware arrived at the right stores at the right time so installations could stay on schedule.
The project also operated under tight deadlines. Some stores were undergoing concurrent construction work, which meant PM2 NET had to coordinate closely with construction teams, adapt to changing site conditions, and complete installations without delaying store readiness.

Result.
PM2NET assigned experienced senior field technicians to oversee installations across the store locations and maintain consistent installation quality. This senior technical leadership helped ensure that each site followed project standards while still adapting to the unique physical conditions of each retail environment.
To improve efficiency and control travel-related costs, PM2 NET optimized the use of local technicians for parallel installation work. The team selected and deployed qualified local resources to support each store while maintaining oversight and quality control through experienced senior field leadership.
PM2NET installed and configured Meraki wireless access points to provide reliable wireless connectivity throughout the retail spaces. The team also completed structured cabling and termination work to connect network equipment, cameras, speakers, and other store systems, following industry best practices for reliable connectivity and organized maintenance.
For infrastructure organization, PM2 NET built out Intermediate Distribution Frames, or IDFs, to house networking equipment and support efficient cable management. Cables were properly labeled and organized to simplify future maintenance and troubleshooting.
The team also integrated the store sound system and Point of Sale system, helping support both customer experience and operational workflows. Installations were completed with attention to networking best practices as well as applicable building and fire code standards.
Throughout the project, PM2 NET project coordinators maintained consistent communication with the client. Daily updates gave stakeholders visibility into progress, site conditions, challenges, and next steps. PM2 NET also documented installed equipment at each location with detailed records and photos for future reference, support, and maintenance.
PM2 NET completed the installations within the required timelines despite the complexity of diverse store layouts, equipment logistics, and concurrent construction activity. The client gained reliable store connectivity, organized network infrastructure, and properly integrated systems to support retail operations.
The project improved operational visibility through clear documentation, consistent communication, and standardized installation practices. Each site was left clean and orderly after installation, reflecting PM2 NET’s attention to professionalism, safety, and long-term maintainability.
With wireless access, POS connectivity, sound systems, cameras, cabling, and IDF infrastructure in place, the apparel brand was better positioned to support smooth store operations and a consistent customer experience across expanding retail locations.
Key Outcomes
Delivered reliable retail network infrastructure across multiple store locations
Installed and configured Meraki wireless access points for storewide connectivity
Built organized IDF environments with labeled cabling for easier maintenance
Integrated POS, sound, camera, and network systems to support retail operations
Maintained project momentum through daily communication and coordinated field execution
