Project overview.
A school district needed to improve wireless connectivity across aging school buildings while minimizing disruption to daily operations. PM2 NET delivered a complete wireless infrastructure upgrade, including site assessment, cabling planning, Aruba access point placement, installation support, configuration alignment, cutover assistance, documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing network management. The project improved wireless services, strengthened digital learning capabilities, and enhanced operational efficiency across the district.
Client Background
The client is an education institute dedicated to providing outstanding learning opportunities for students in its community. The district emphasizes academic excellence, comprehensive support services, strong educator and family collaboration, and a positive learning environment where every student can thrive.
To support modern instruction, communication, and administrative operations, the district needed a reliable wireless network capable of serving students, staff, and visitors across older school facilities.

(02)
Challenge.
The project presented several challenges due to the age and complexity of the school buildings. Older infrastructure introduced architectural constraints that affected cabling pathways, installation logistics, and wireless access point placement.
Work also had to be performed during after-school hours, between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM, to avoid disruption to students and staff. This limited installation windows and required careful scheduling, coordination, and progress tracking.
Another challenge was the need to perform configuration activities in parallel with installation. PM2 NET needed to coordinate field work and technical configuration closely to ensure the deployment stayed on schedule and met the district’s wireless performance requirements.
The team also had to account for building layout, user density, and potential sources of wireless interference to ensure Aruba access points were placed strategically for optimized coverage.
(03)
Result.
PM2 NET began with a comprehensive site assessment conducted by field service engineers. The team evaluated building intricacies, structural limitations, cabling constraints, and wireless coverage requirements.
Based on the assessment, PM2 NET developed a detailed cabling plan designed to navigate the challenges of older school infrastructure. The plan addressed structural nuances, minimized disruption, and supported efficient installation during limited after-hours windows.
Aruba access points were strategically placed to optimize wireless coverage throughout the district’s facilities. Placement decisions were based on building layout, user density, expected device usage, and potential interference points.
PM2 NET maintained open communication throughout the project. Regular progress meetings helped address concerns, confirm requirements, and keep stakeholders aligned. This collaborative approach improved transparency, reduced delays, and enabled faster resolution of field or configuration challenges.
The team also provided comprehensive post-deployment support, including cutover assistance, final documentation, knowledge transfer sessions, and ongoing network management and monitoring. These services helped ensure the client’s team could operate and maintain the upgraded environment effectively after implementation.
The Result
The wireless infrastructure upgrade had a transformative impact on the district. Wireless services were significantly improved, enabling a more seamless digital learning experience for students and staff.
The district also gained improved operational efficiency through more reliable connectivity, optimized access point placement, and a better-supported network architecture. PM2 NET’s careful planning and execution helped overcome the challenges of aging buildings, limited work windows, and parallel installation/configuration requirements.
Following project completion, staff expressed strong satisfaction with the results. The client benefited from a flawlessly installed, configured, and thoroughly tested wireless environment backed by documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support.
Key Outcomes
Improved wireless services across aging school buildings
Installed and optimized Aruba access points based on layout, density, and interference
Developed a detailed cabling plan to address older infrastructure constraints
Completed work during after-school hours to minimize disruption
Delivered cutover assistance, documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing monitoring
